Russia's RZD buying part of Serbian company in charge of railway infrastructure maintenance

The Russian company RZD intends to buy a share in a Serbian company in charge of railway infrastructure maintenance in the first half of the year, said the first vice president of the company, Alexander Misharin.

– We will buy a local infrastructure maintenance company in Serbia... We will leave a share to the partners. The transaction is to be completed in the first half of the year – Misharin said.

Misharin didn't want to disclose the name of the company in question nor the value of the transaction, and when asked whether the company was expensive, he answered:

– Not quite.

The share in the Serbian company will be bought by RZD International, a subsidiary of the Russian Railways.
