Prokuplje getting industrial zone close to Hisar factory – Project value between RSD 250 and 300 million

In line with the agreement with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, reached during his visit to the Toplica District, representatives of the local self-government of Prokuplje reported that the industrial zone in the city would be built in close proximity to the Hisar factory.

According to MP Darko Laketic and the president of the municipality, Aleksandar Simonovic, Prokuplje will officially become owner of the land on the said location.

– We will soon have at our disposal a much larger, and therefore more suitable part of the parcel of 22 hectares, the amount currently used by the Administration for the Enforcement of Penal Sanctions. Those 16 hectares are not subject to restitution requests, and representatives of the Ministry of Justice from the Administration for the Enforcement of Penal Sanctions have already seen the locations offered in exchange, and everything is heading in the right direction for now – Laketic and Simonovic pointed out and noted that the municipality had secured the preliminary design and the project with its own funds.

According to the estimate by the experts from the prime minister's team, a capital project such as a modern and fully equipped industrial zone, the most important infrastructural project for Prokuplje, should cost between RSD 250 and 300 million. The Government of Serbia transferred RSD 30 million from the budget reserves to the municipality early this year, which will be used for infrastructural works, which should begin as soon as weather conditions allow for it.
