- "Industry of Machines and Tractors" (IMT), Belgrade, has been sold today (April 10, 2008) to consortium "HASS-SIP" for 121.11m EUR and the investment program worth 10.27m EUR - Privatization Agency announced.
The contract on sale of 100% of public capital, that is, 92.5% of total registered capital, was signed today by the representatives of the Privatization Agency and first-ranked bidder - consortium "HASS-SIP".
In addition to unconditional acceptance of minimal obligations from the social program, the buyer also accepted some additional elements of the social program.
Total of three bids were submitted on the public tender for sale of "IMT" in restructuring, which was announced on July 16, 2007.
The first was submitted by Consortium "HASS-SIP", made of "Home Art & Sales Services" from Switzerland and "SIP Strojna industrija" from Slovenia, and the second by the consortium made of "Neverfield Limited" from the British Virgin Islands and "Pol-Mot Warfarma" from Poland.
The third bid for "IMT" was submitted by consortium "Agri investments", which consists of "MPC Properties" from Serbia and "Adriano Corsi" from Italy.
At the meeting of the Tender commission, which was formed by the decision of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia in February 2008 for the sake of monitoring realization of public tender for sale of 94.5% of total registered capital of "IMT", the results from the tender have been approved.
On that occasion, the Tender commission made the decision that made consortium "HASS-SIP" the first-ranked bidder.
