Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Branislav Nedimovic made an agreement with the management of the Nis Airport today to establish a veterinary and phytosanitary inspection as soon as possible, in order to enable the air transport of agricultural products from Serbia to Turkey.

The decision was reached due to an increasing interest in products from Serbia, the growth of export, but also due to the overall trade between the two countries, reported the ministry.

It was estimated that a quicker transport would lead to a far greater competitiveness of Serbian agricultural products in foreign markets.

Establishing an airline for the transport of goods from the Nis Airoprt is especially important for Serbia's south, where large quantities of fruit and vegetables are produced and processed.
