Mayor Sinisa Mali talked yesterday at the Old Court with the ambassador of Russia to Serbia, Alexander Chepurin, on cooperation in the area of tourism, the participation of the capital of Serbia in the Moscow Christmas Festival, but also about the construction of a subway in Belgrade!

Mali said that the construction should start in two and a half years, following the completion of all necessary studies and projects.

– This project is to be a new source of the economic growth and will activate certain parts of the city which have not been sufficiently developed so far, with the first lines going through them – Mali said, alluding to the announcement that the subway will first link Visnjica with Makisko Polje.

It's not a secret that, in addition to the French, certain Russian companies are interested in constructing a subway in Belgrade. This has recently been confirmed by the Russian government minister for international relations, Sergei Cheryomin, who divulged that “Moscow investors are the most interested in the subway and the Belgrade Waterfront”.
