Telekom Serbia has announced an investment in LTE and Wi-Fi networks development, better and faster Internet and MTS Bank launch, with a mobile wallet service.

At the opening the 24th telecommunications forum in Serbia, Telfor 2016, General Manager of Telekom Serbia Predrag Culibrk said the company started the biggest transformation of the telecommunications infrastructure. Its objective is to raise the internet speed in most parts of Serbia and to provide resources for internet-based service development.

- Telekom Serbia is turning the whole country in telecommunication site in which up to EUR 150 m will be invested, which is the most extensive contract since the company set up and will be implemented over the next three and a half years - Ćulibrk explained.

The company has still been investing in Wi-Fi infrastructure, but also in 4G networks development, especially online services, as well as development of ICT services and cloud services, primarily for large customers. Web services and OTT applications, MTS Bank and mobile wallet are coming in the first quarter next year, intended for all users. Telekom will launch the first online shopping mall, or online store, but it will also change the way of looking at video contents today, Ćulibrk added.
