Company "Marni" has provided "kosher" certificate for product portfolio of frozen and dry mushrooms.
The CEO of Kruševac-based company for purchase and processing of mushrooms and forest fruit, Zorana Đorđević, says that "kosher" certificate represents an opportunity for "Marni" to offer its products to the specialized stores intended for Jewish people.- This certificate is especially important to company "Marni" because of the US market where the presence of Jewish population is very high - said she.
The product portfolio of company "Marni", which exported products worth about 2m EUR to the markets of Europe, USA and Africa last year, and plans to double the export this year, was presented at two food fairs, in Berlin and in Nurnberg.
"Marni" has 45 employees and it also hires up to 300 seasonal workers every summer. The company is buying raw materials at over 150 purchase spots in Serbia. This season, it will be buying mushrooms from Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Russia and Romania.
