October price increase 0.7% – Annual inflation in Serbia 1.5%

Consumer prices in Serbia in October 2016 were higher by 0.7% relative to September, whereas the annual inflation equaled 1.55, reported the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia yesterday.

Compared to December 2015, the increase in consumer prices, used to measure the inflation, amounted to 1.,8%.

In October, the prices of services increased in the areas of recreation and culture (2.6%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.5%), clothing and footwear (1.1%).


Last month also saw an increase in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages and education (0.6% each), furniture, household equipment and routine household maintenance and transport (0.4% each) and restaurant and hotel services (0.3%).
