Old Sava Bridge in two levels after all – Reconstruction worth more than EUR 60 million being prepared
The website of the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency has presented four possible profiles of the bridge, but, as Blic learns, the city officials have chosen the fifth option, the one left off the list. The bridge is supposed to be cut, raised to a higher level containing pedestrian and bicycle zones, with the tram traffic running below and two lanes on each side.
The project should be completed in mid-2017, followed by a tender for the contractor, which should be placed in late summer, and the works should start in mid-2018. This great project, if everything goes according to plan, should be completed by the end of 2019, greatly facilitating the traffic over the Sava.
