Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic expressed his expectation that Serbia would have EUR 1.92 billion of direct foreign investments before the year ended.

He said at the parliament, while answering the questions by the assembly members, that it would be the biggest inflow of foreign investments in the region.

While answering the question by Dubravka Filipovski, member of the New Serbia, about when Serbia might reach the USD three million of direct foreign investments, Vucic answered that it had not been possible because no great system had been privatized.

– I don't believe that we will reach that level of foreign investments in the next two years unless great systems start being privatized. Perhaps we will reach three billion dollars in the third or fourth year – he said.

Vucic expressed satisfaction that numerous Turkish companies had arrived to Serbia's south and announced the arrival of a German investor to Nis.

– I'll be able to say who it is two to three days – the prime minister said.

He expressed satisfaction over the arrival of the Bank of China to Serbia and added that it would act as a stimulant to the Serbian economy.
