Merchandize trade between Serbia and Austria to amount to EUR 1 billion in 2016

Economic adviser at the Embassy of Serbia in Vienna, Nada Knezevic, stated yesterday that it was expected for the merchandize trade between Serbia and Austria to reach EUR 1 billion for the first time in 2016.

According to her, Serbian export to Austria has been growing at the rate of 14% in 2016, whereas the export of Austrian goods to Serbia has been growing at the rate of 8%.


Last year, the foreign trade between the two countries amounted to around EUR 800 million, and, in 2014, it amounted to around EUR 748 million.

Austria has invested around EUR 2.8 billion in Serbia so far.
