German manufacturer of security systems and components for windows and doors "Gece" has announced that it will start construction of the unit at 6,000 square meters in industrial zone Bagljaš in Zrenjanin next month. The contract on investment worth 5m EUR was signed on March 7, 2008, by CEO of company "Gece", Alber Herman, and Mayor of Zrenjanin, Goran Knežević.
- We want to export products from the Zrenjanin unit all over the world in 2009. We know that we can count on high-quality manpower here - Alber Herman pointed out.
The plan is that company "Gece" in Zrenjanin first hires 50, and then another 200 workers. The hall will be built next to the unit of Italian "Fulgar", at already equipped parcel with complete infrastructure. By building a unit in Serbia, "Gece" expands its network in southeast Europe, where it currently has only the retail and service chain.
After Germany and China, the unit in Zrenjanin will be the third factory of this manufacturer in the world. Gece GMBH, from Leoberg near Stuttgart, is one of the world's leading companies for production of systems for doors, windows and industrial safety technology. It was founded in 1863 as a family company. It currently has 2,000 workers and its turnover in 2007 amounted to 360m EUR.
