There were no buyers interested in Fabrika Akumulatora Sombor at the price of EUR 12.51 million, SOinfo.org reports.

According to the trustee in bankruptcy, Predrag Ljubovic, no one bought out the sale documentation within the deadline, which is why, following the expiration of the sale date on October 21, the Board of Creditors will be submitted a proposal for a new sale procedure.

– It's still early to talk about the model and the conditions – Ljubovic said.

The trustee in bankruptcy of FAS discussed the problem which the factory had been facing for months. The renter, DEM Hellas, has not settled its obligations and is acting against the law. The contract has expired, without the company paying a single dinar of the rent. Furthermore, they are refusing to leave their facilities, even though the termination of the contract has been activated and even though they're been ordered to move out. The procedure for the collection of receivables has also been initiated.

According to Ljubovic, a hearing in the action against DEM Hellas has been scheduled for November 9. The conduct of Elektrodistribucija Sombor, which hasn't stopped supplying electricity regardless of its debt of over RSD 17 million, adds a special note to the story.

As the trustee in bankruptcy explained, as the authorized representative of FAS, he filed a request for the power to be switched off in the factory back in June, which, however, hasn't happened so far. ED Sombor has been contacted several times regarding the request, but there's has been no reply.

As SOinfo.org reports, the situation with supplying the factory with gas is similar. Even though the renter's debts of several million dinars are indisputable, the “unknown distributor” continues to provide this energy source regularly.
