People in Serbia using smart phones for five hours a day on average

The study by MasterCard called “Impact of Innovation”, carried out in 10 CEE countries, shows that, for 91% of subjects in Serbia, smart phones are the most frequently used devices, and that they are used for five hours a day on average, compared to 3.3 hours in West Europe.

Subjects in Serbia displayed a high degree of enthusiasm regarding digital technologies – 89% of them expect digital services to play an increasingly important role in everyday life, and 63% claim that innovations have a positive impact on society, MasterCard reports.


For 56% of those surveyed, the most used devise is the smart phone, 22% use computers, 19% use laptops and 2% use tablets the most.

In Serbia, 97% of subjects browse the internet daily, 92% send e-mail, 88% use social networks, 87% chat online, and 81% of those surveyed check the weather forecast.
