Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic has requested the permission for the export of grains from Serbia to the Egyptian market. He has discussed the possibilities with the ambassador of Egypt, Ezzeldin Mahmoud Fahmy, the Ministry reported.

Ljajic requested that Serbia be included in the list of countries which are allowed to export wheat to Egypt.

Fahmy said that he would request the relevant institutions in Cairo to quickly send a commission for testing the quality of wheat, whose report is necessary in order to put a state on the list of exporters of wheat to Egypt, according to Egyptian regulations.

Ljajic and Fahmy estimated that it was possible to establish cooperation in energy, tourism and pharmaceutical industry.
