British Motors Jaguar Land Rover center opens in Belgrade – Eastern Europe's most modern sales and service center starts operating
The guests at the opening ceremony were addressed by the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, the ambassador of Great Britain to Serbia, Denis Keefe, the regional sales manager of the Jaguar Land Rover Group, Erik Ploss, and the general manager of the center, Ostoja Mijailovic, who pointed out that Serbian automotive market had grown significantly in the previous few years.
– Serbia has a strategic position within Europe, which has also been recognized by the Jaguar Land Rover Group. The British Motors center for Jaguar and Land Rover will be the first and the biggest one in this part of Europe, and we plan to open several such centers in the Adriatic region in the next year. The opening of this kind of center for premium vehicles is another positive indicator of the stabilization of our automotive industry market – Mijailovic stated.
The opening ceremony was also attended by numerous celebrities from politics, sports and show business, among which were Minister Branislav Nedimovic, Sasa Kovacevic, Sasa Popovic, Aco Pejovic, Zvezdan Terzic, Andrej Kulundzic, Aleksandra Perovic, Nikola Lazetic, Nenad Bjekovic, Momcilo Moca Vukotic and others.
Several million euros were invested in the British Jaguar Land Rover center. It will employ 50 people who have passed a strict selection and training process in Great Britain and other Jaguar Land Rover training centers.
All current Jaguar and Land Rover will be displayed at the center – Jaguar XE, XF, XJ, F pace and F type and Land Rover Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport.
The center has an area of 3,200 m2 and is located on a plot of land with a total area of 11,000 m2 in Zrenjaninski Put St. The facility has been built by the latest standards of the Jaguar Land Rover Group using a plan designed in Great Britain.
The company plans to sell 150 vehicles of both brands in Serbia in the first fiscal year (until March 31, 2017).
