Record number of building permits issued in July – Value of works higher by 35% compared to last year

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure reported that 1,301 building permits had been issued in July, exceeding the previous record, set this June, by 2%.

As reported, the number of issued permits in July 2016 was higher by 16% compared to July 2015, and the most active area regarding construction was Srem.

The report adds that the cost of the construction works in the first seven months of 2016 was higher by 35% compared to the corresponding period of 2015.
