Total loans in late August around RSD 2,221 billion – Repayment of each ninth loan late

The total corporate, entrepreneurial and retail loans in Serbia amounted to around RSD 2,221 at the end of August, almost the same as in July, reported the Association of Serbian Banks on September 14.

Corporate loans amounted to around RSD 1,398 billion and are lower by 0.4% relative to the previous month.

The total retail loans increased by 0.9% to around RSD 767 billion, and entrepreneurial loans were reduced by 0.7% to RSD 46.09 billion.

The repayment 11.55% of debts was late at the end of August, 0.1% more than in July.

The share of legal entities late with repayment was 13.7%, whereas the repayment of 16.1% entrepreneurial loans and 7.2% retail loans was late.

As the Association of Banks said, housing and consumer loans still make up the majority of the total retail loans at 90%.

The growth of retail cash credits compared to July was 2%, whereas consumer loans decreased by 0.7%.
