Budget surplus in January - 12.7 billion RSD

According to the web site of the Ministry of Finance, the budget of Serbia registered surplus in amount of 12.7 billion RSD at the end of January. Incomes to the state budget amounted to 52.1 billion RSD, while the costs amounted to 39.4 billion RSD. Projected budget incomes for this year are 639.6 billion RSD, while the projected costs amount to 654.4 billion RSD.

Last year, the budget incomes amounted to 588.4 billion RSD, the costs amounted to 567.5 billion RSD, while surplus was 12.8 billion RSD. Public debt of Serbia at the end of 2007 amounted to about 8.9 billion EUR, which is 28% of gross national product. Of that amount, foreign debt amounted to 3.4 billion EUR, while internal debt was 4.6 billion EUR.
