The director of Zastava INPRO, Branko Veljovic, stated today that he expected that Trigano Trailers would take over 160 workers of INPRO on September 1, in line with its obligations defined in the agreement on the purchase of equipment in the amount of EUR 287,000.

– Everything is in line with the agreement. We expect now that this will be completed before the deadline expires, as the agreement defines a 30 day deadline period from the moment of payment. We expect this to be finished tomorrow – he said and added that the agreement had been signed on August 17.

Trigano Trailers, which the eponymous French company has founded in Serbia, obliged by the agreement to purchase EUR 278,000 worth of equipment and take over 160 workers of Zastava INPRO.

The company also obliged to pay the remaining 90% of the selling price of the property and take over the workers within a week of the signing of the agreement.

Half of the workers in Zastava INPRO, which operates under the Zastava Vozila Group, are people with disabilities.

This is why Veljovic claims the company won't be privatized, and, as he has announced, they are facing the challenge of solving the status of the company in the only way possible, which is for it to remain a state-owned enterprise.

– There's no privatization, as INPRO is an enterprise which employs people with disabilities and the Law on Privatization, this can't be done. A part of the equipment has been sold to Trigano, which obliges to take over 160 people, of which 80 with disabilities. These people should be taken over by Trigano tomorrow – Veljovic said.

– We are still a state-owned enterprise and we will create programs to turn the part of the enterprise not connected to the Trigano group into a state-owned enterprise like Grafopormet – he said.
