Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the opening of a new production facility of the Dutch company Cooperatief IMI Europe with the general manager of the company, Erik De Candido, and the mayor of Nis, Darko Bulatovic, on Friday, august 19, in Nis.

Cooperatief IMI Europe operates within Integrated Micro-Electronics Incorporated (IMI), a leading world supplier of electronic goods in the areas of automotive industry, industry and medicine.

They have production and research branches in Europe, Asia and North America, as well as 13 factories in six countries. The European branch was founded in Bulgaria in 1997, and, seeing how this industrial location has recorded a considerable growth, mostly in the automotive sector, the investor has decided to open a new production facility in South East Europe, choosing Nis as the final destination.
