"Trayal" to invest 17m EUR in reconstruction and procurement of new equipment for Factory of car tires

"Trayal" corporation will invest about 17m EUR in reconstruction and procurement of nw equipment for the Factory of car tires prior to the end of year 2009.

- The investments will be realized in three phases. The aim is that the production of car tires in 2008 grows to 8,000, that is, to 10,000 pieces a day prior to the end of 2009 - says general manager of "Trayal", Petar Petrov.

Petrov said that three new car tires would be launched from the "Trayal" units by the end of the following year and that they would be produced in 64 dimensions.

- "Trayal rapida" for the velocities of up to 230 km/h will be launched at the end of this year, while "Trayal performa", for the velocities of up to 190 km/h, will appear by the end of year 2009. We are currently working on the tools for new winter tire that will be competition to our tire "T-200" - Petrov specified.

The manager for development of new markets in "Trayal Corporation", Danijela Petrović, said that the company exported more than 80% of production and that it had sold goods worth about 40m EUR in 2007.

- This year we expect significantly larger export, and quality standards ISO 9001, which have been recently introduced by "Trayal", will contribute to that - said she.

During 2007, as she pointed out, the company registered significant progress on the markets of central and southeast Europe, and these regions will be the target markets in 2008 as well.

Kruševac-based "Trayal" was privatized at the end of year 2006. It was purchase for 12m EUR by Bulgarian company "Brikel", which was also obliged to invest 25m EUR in the factory.

"Trayal" currently has 2,500 workers whose average salary is somewhat bigger than 20,000 RSD.
