The fate of Fabrika Automobila Priboj (FAP), if the Commercial Court adopts the PPRP, will depend on a single truck chassis which is currently being tested in the largest desert in the world.

Of 650 FAP workers, a total of 625 of them have recently left the ruined company through the social program, claiming that the company has no future.

Nevertheless, the factory might employ at least 150 people as soon as this autumn, if good news arrives from the north of Africa.

FAP sent a chassis prototype to Egypt’s Kader in early summer. The local army needs the chassis for a desert combat vehicle.

If the prototype passes the test, FAP will sign a EUR 10 million agreement with the Egyptians on the shipment of 88 chassis within a year.
