NIS to buy oil from company "Gazprom Neft" - Russians won on tender
Russian company "Gazprom Neft" has won on the tender of "Petroleum Industry of Serbia" for procurement of 800,000 tons of crude oil.
In that way, after a long time, national oil company has got a partner to directly buy the oil from.
It is also interesting to say that NIS had to announce tender twice in a very short time. The first one had failed even before it was announced, which rarely happens. The deadline for documentation for the second tender to be submitted was only 10 days, although it is usually a month and even more, except in the cases of emergency import.
There were two bidders - "Moil Coal" and "Glencore", on the first tender for this oil deal worth 400m USD. According to the tender terms, NIS should start negotiations with the best bidder after the offers are opened, which happened, but it still unknown why they did not select one of the offers.
