He said that the construction works on the production facility of the former factory of Electronic Industry (EI) Cegar were well on their way and that Aster Textile had already brought some equipment to Nis.
– The investor has informed us that the works are being carried out uninterrupted and that the companies which have been hired to reconstruct the production facility are working hard to finish the job as soon as possible – Randjelovic said and added that the training of the first 120 workers was in progress in the facility which the Turkish company had rented in the EI complex.
The owner of Aster Textile, Ismail Kocali, announced in April, when the reconstruction of the EI Cegar production facility started, that they would employ 2,000 workers in the next three years.
Kocali also announced that clothing items of the most famous world brands would be produced in Nis, and that the factory would export between EUR 55 and 60 million annually.
The Turkish company bought the EI Cegar production facility in late 2015. The facility has nearly 20,000 square meters of surface and used to produce metal and tin products.
