Ministry of Economy providing municipalities and cities with RSD 413 million for roads, schools and kindergartens

The Ministry of Economy will assist the carrying out of 32 projects of significance to local and regional development and the standard of living in cities and municipalities throughout Serbia with RSD 413 million.

The projects, which will be realized within the Build Together program, are related to the construction or reconstruction of kindergartens, schools, social and cultural institutions and traffic routes.

The total value of the investments exceeds RSD 966 million, and the Ministry co-finances 50% of the cost of each project, whereas local self-governments provide the rest from their own budgets.

The Build Together program is realized by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the European Investment Bank and local self-governments.

In the past three years, 41 projects of the total value of RSD 1,287,139,670 have been assisted as part of the program, of which the Ministry of Economy co-financed the projects with loans from the European Investment Bank in the amount of over RSD 712 million, with the rest provided by local self-governments.

The largest investments were related to the construction and reconstruction of traffic routes, bridges, schools and kindergartens, which has positively impacted the quality of living in these municipalities.
