"Initiative for development of youth entrepreneurship" started in Medveđa

Manager of the Program for Economic Security within USAID, Michael Pilsberey, and Mayor of Medveđa, Slobodan Drašković, signed the agreeement yesterday (January 24, 2008) on realization of project "Initiative for Development of Youth Entepreneurship" in that municipality.

As the Manager of the Office of Coordination Body for the south of Serbia, Simo Gazikalović, said, that is very useful program for education of the young people, and it anticipates forming of the Youth Entrepreneurship Center in Medveđa, which will be providing various services and resources for potential and existing young entepreneurs.

That center should become the key institution that will be developing and cherishing culture of youth entrepreneurship, said he and added that that was the part of the broader project that concerned several municipalities in the south of central Serbia, and part of the funds for its realization would be provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sport.

As USAID announced, aim of that program is to provide support to development of small and mid-sized enterprises and creation of new jobs for the most endangered population in non-developed regions of Serbia.
