The Chinese keep Kamaras in Zelezara as an adviser

The new owners of Zelezara have kept Peter Kamaras within the management in the capacity of an adviser without executive power.

As Danas finds out, even though the Government of Serbia terminated the contract on running Zelezara with HPK Engineering shortly before the Chinese Hesteel took over the factory, Peter Kamaras and his people now work at the steel mill as consultants.

Zeljko Veselinovic, president of the United Unions of Serbia Sloga, has said that the managers in Kamaras' HPK Engineering are no longer in executive positions, but that they now act as advisers in the transitional period.

Hesteel officially took over Zelezara Smederevo at the beginning of July, and soon after, the European Commission initiated an investigation against the factory over the accusations of creating unfair competition through dumping prices.
