"Smederevac" stove - Serbian trademark, export to be doubled

- Stove "Smederevac", powered by solid fuel, has been irreplaceable in the kitchens of more than 1m households in Serbia, countries of the Balkans and central Europe, for 75 years - said general manager of factory "Milan Blagojević" Nikola Pavlović.

Smederevo-based factory of household appliances, of which majority owner is company "Invej" since November 2005, annually produces more than 150,000 pieces of the popular stove.

This year, "Milan Blagojević" celebrates the 85th birthday - said Pavlović and added that that long tradition was not only honor, but also obligation, for that reputation must be maintained.

According to his words, thanks to the quality and competitive price, export in 2007 participated with 45% in total sales, and the plan for year 2008 is 60%.

- People from 'Milan Blagojević' take care of modernization of production in order to keep leading position on the domestic market and on the markets of neighboring countries - said he.

- "Smederevac" registers growth of sales in former Yugoslav republics, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, while new markets and doubling of production are in the pipeline - CEO announced.

Pavlović added that whole series of technical solutions had been applied on "smederevac" and that the assortment was enriched in the trend of new world products. The main reason for durability of that Serbian trademark is cherishing of tradition, listening of the market demands and maintenance of trust.
