Vimeksim planning to build storage space in Backa – The company also interested in the privatization of the Port of Novi Sad
The company Vimeksim, which has chosen Novi Sad as its headquarters, operates in the market of grains and oilseeds and is present in markets throughout the world. Vimeksim’s main activities are primary production, processing, exporting and providing logistics services related to grains and oilseeds.
– The company’s annual turnover exceeds half a billion euros, we export over a million tons of goods annually through our subsidiaries, we farm over 24 thousand hectares of our own land, we own the port of Kiliya on the Danube, as well as 200 thousand tons of storage space at the port of Odessa. Our business activities and investments also encompass biogas facilities, production of yoghurt and agricultural management consulting – Doskach explained.
He pointed out that Vimeksim saw the market in Serbia through the lens of great developmental potential.
– Fertile land, strategic position, hard-working people, improvements in both the political and the economic environment, all this creates possibilities for investments. At the moment, our main goal is to establish an outlet to the Danube with our reloading capacities, in order to connect the port in Ukraine, through a port in Serbia, to our partners throughout the EU, but also in order to support the expansion in the Middle and Far East through Constanta and the Black Sea. The company is in the narrow circle of those interested in the privatization of the Port of Novi Sad, which we believe has a lot of potential, the possibility of successful operation and expansion. This port is in fact a part of our investment program – Doskach emphasized.
