New Mel Gibson movie after four years

Based on the novel of the same name, the movie’s plot concerns the ex-convict John Link (Gibson), whose sixteen year old daughter has gotten into trouble with violent drug dealers.

Although John has settled down to an extent and temporarily let go of his troubled past, as a result of the circumstances, he returns to a life on the edge of law and reason in order to protect his estranged daughter and re-establish the parent-child relationship with her.

The movie also stars Erin Moriarty, Diego Luna and Michael Parks, and in the director’s seat is Jean-François Richet of the Public Enemy No. 1 fame.
