Erste Bank opens the first account for the payment institution iPay See

Since October 1, 2015, when the Law on Payment Services started being enforced, in addition to business banks, the National Bank of Serbia, the Treasury and PE Post of Serbia, payment services may be provided by electronic money institutions and payment institutions as well.

Erste Bank has opened the first special-purpose account for its client, the payment institution iPay See, the act which marks the beginning of the practical application of Article 10 of the Law on Payment Services.

Through its partnership with Erste Bank, the payment institution iPay See secures a safe and timely carrying out of its clients' payment transactions. It practically means that transaction such as monthly bill payments, deposits, direct debit services and money transfers may be carried out at iPay See’s specially marked locations.

- Diversifying the possibilities for carrying out payment operations has been a world trend for a long time now. Erste Bank is ready to accept and support new participants in the payment operations in Serbia through partnerships in managing payment transaction accounts – stated Nikola Maslovaric, the head of Transaction Banking at Erste Bank Serbia.
