Niska pivara starts production
Company head, Nikola Karanovic, said "the first quantities of beer have been prepared" during the morning, adding that due to production technologies beer must "lie" so that it could be consumed.
He added departments of Niska pivara currently employs seventy workers but that production increase will lead to headcount increase.
Niska pivara was set up in 1884 by an industrial Jovan Apel and it is one of
the oldest industrial companies in Nis.
After eight unsuccessful bids, in August last year Bulgarian Capital Projects acquired the brewary for EUR 1,084,000 which then announced investment of EUR 5 m and employment of 130 workers by the end of 2016.
