MATIJEVIC: If I sell the company to Tonnies, I would buy PKB

Petar Matijevic, owner of Meat Industry "Matijevic", said German Tonnies is seriously interested in purchasing his company.

He confirmed for Politika that they have already been negotiating the transation and that he is in the mood for any kind of agreement with German producer even for sale of 100 % capital of the company estimated at EUR 250 m.

He says representatives of Tonnies have recently visited in Serbia, apart from Matijevic, Neoplanta, Yuhor and Carnex but that the choice was Novi Sad-based company although others were in the race.

When asked what he will do in case he sells meat industry, he says he is planning to land development because it is currently the most profitable business for manufacturers with large lots.
