Italian investor Carbotech opens plant in Smederevo - 55 workers for production of electric engine brushes

In Smederevo, Friday saw the plant opening of Italian investor, Carbotech which will employ 55 workers at for production of brushes for electric motors .

With a new factory opening , minister of economy, Zeljko Sertic ,said that it is a " small company " which is planning "to become big" in a few years.

The owner of the Italian company Lorenzo Datolli said the decision to invest in Serbia was made in agreement with its client, Johnson Electric which opened a plant in Nis.

He added the new factory was opened in Smederevo because of the fact that it is located in a free zone, near the highway and airport but also because of " excellent cooperation with the local self-government.” According to the major of Smederevo, Jasna Avramovic , the pant on 2.000 m2 was built by city administration.
