The fruits and vegetables processing plant Nectar has invested more than EUR 7 million in a production facility, new cold storage plant and storage space for fruit concentrates in Vladicin Han, thus boosting the capacity of cold storage plant to 6,000 tonnes of frozen fruits and the total fruits procurement capacity by additional 20,000 tonnes.

Nectar's fruits processing capacity amounts to 120,000 tonnes in the season. As people at this company explain, the production facility in Vladicin Han has a trend to become the largest fruits processing center in Serbia as well as the largest purchasing center.

This factory works with more than 500 farmers in the territory of Vladicin Han, Leskovac, Crna Trava, Medvedja, Lebane, and Dzep, enabling direct employment of a large number of people and supporting the development of fruit growing and the entire economy through numerous collaborative relationships with smaller manufacturers.

The Nectar Group employs a total of over 1,500 workers, 150 of whom in Vladicin Han, but that number doubles during the season.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic toured the factory in Vladicin Han today in company with Serbian ministers Rasim Ljajic and Zeljko Sertic.
