Trading exchange with world increase 7,9% in two months

In the first two months of this year Serbia's foreign trade totaled EUR 4.33 billion, which is 7.9% more than in the same period 2015, and trade deficit decreased by 18.2% to EUR 527.6 m , according to the Republic Statistical Office.

Exports of goods in January and February was EUR 1.90 billion and 12.8% higher compared to last year's same month, while imports totaled EUR 2.43 billion, a growth of 4.3%.

Export-import ratio was 78.3% compared to 72.2% in January and February last year.

In dollars, foreign trade of Serbia in the first two months of 2016 was USD 4.78 billion, which is an increase of 3% compared to the same period last year. Exported goods totaled USD 2.09 billion, 7.9%, higher and imports totaled 2.68 billion dollars, or 0.5% less than in the same period last year.

Decline in imports, in dollars, was the result of strengthening of that currency, both compared to dinar and euro.

Deficit totaled USD 581.3 m which is a decrease of 22,3%.
