Tax debt rescheduling requests can be submitted starting today

From today until July 4th, tax debtors in Serbia will be able to submit a request for the rescheduling of a debt below RSD 2 million, exclusive of interests. These novelties are introduced by the Law on Tax Procedure and Tax Administration, and one debtor can submit a debt rescheduling request only once.
Maximum period to repay a tax debt which was due prior to 4 March 2016 is 60 months.
All juristic persons and entrepreneurs whose tax debt does not exceed RSD 1.5 million and all the citizens whose debt is below RSD 200,000 have the right to postpone the repayment of their tax debt without providing a collateral warranty.
All tax debtors who service their debt on a regular basis will have their interest on the repaid debt written off upon the expiration of every 12 months until the debt is fully repaid.
In case a tax debtor repays the whole debt before the deadline, he or she will have the entire interest on their debt written off.
