Air Serbia and El Al from Israel ink codeshare agreement
Under the new agreement, El Al will add its LY code to five weekly flights that Air Serbia operates between Belgrade and Tel Aviv during the IATA summer season that began Sunday, March 27th.
A ceremony that marked the signing of codeshare agreement was held Monday, 28 March 2016, in El Al's First Class Lounge at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, and it was attended by the CEOs of both companies and Serbian Ambassador to Israel Milutin Stanojevic.
- Codeshare cooperation is essential for Air Serbia's long-term growth strategy. It was our pleasure to sign this agreement and start an exciting and mutually useful partnership - said Air Serbia CEO Dane Kondic.
Air Serbia currently operates five flights a week between Belgrade and Tel Aviv using Airbus A319. This service was established in December 2013 and included four weekly flights at the time.
