Consumer goods retail shops of German retail Lidl in Serbia will open in March 2018 and not as media reported by the end of this year or next year, "Radio 021" finds out at the headquarters of this company in Neckarsulm at Stuttgart.

As stated, management is planning to open first facilities in USA in the same year and two years later in Russia.

For Serbia, simultaneously, rather than partially opening of exactly 20 facilities that will be located in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Bor, Zrenjanin, Krusevac, Smederevo, Nis, Subotica was planned previously. Planning is serious and they are done a few years in advance and Germans do not pay much attention to media or daily political statements.

In the first stage, 10 will be built and in the second 10 facilities more. Distribution center will be in Nova Pazova wherefrom goods will be delivered for every shop.

Lidl has been operating under this name since 1930 and only in Europe it has shops in 26 countries.
