Mercator plans opening of trade center in Čačak at the end of 2005 - 20 million EUR
At the end of 2005, Slovenian Mercator will open big trade center in Čačak on the location of former textile industry "Prvi oktobar". The investment in that facility will amount to € 20m and the location is rented on period of 99 years.
The works will start in spring 2005, so that the completion of the works is expected at the end of 2005. Once it is finished, it will employ 200-250 new workers. Besides the hypermarket on 3,000 square meters with 30,000 various articles, the trade center will encompass sports stores, furniture stores, outlets "fashion avenue", perfume shops, cafes, restaurants and about 20 smaller outlets that will be rented.
