Johnson Electric gets land in Nis - Company plans to invest EUR 50 million in construction of production facility
Based on a Memorandum of Understanding that was signed in 2015, Johnson Electric will invest EUR 50 million in the construction of this new production facility and hire minimum 2,400 workers over the next five years.
The City Council of Nis has determined a draft of the feasibility study for the assignment of building land to Johnson Electric free of charge, which is put on public display at the official website of the city.
Johnson Electric, a leading manufacturer of electric components for the automotive industry, has successfully implemented the first phase of investments, which entailed the construction of 10,000 square meter facility in the industrial zone in Nis. Production in this facility was commenced in 2014, and the investor currently employs 500 workers.
One of the company's obligations from the MoU is to hire minimum another 1,000 workers by mid-2016.
