German investments in Serbia total EUR 1,7 billion - In 2016, new investments planned

Prime minister Aleksandar Vucic, has said today that trade exchange with Germany in 2015, totaled EUR 3,536 billion which makes the country the second most important foreign trade partner of Serbia.

At the first session of dialogue within German-Serbian initiative for sustainable growth and employment, he outlined that in that sense, Germany is approaching the position of the first partner of Serbia, which numerous parameters shows. He outlined German investments in Serbia total EUR 1,7 billion and donation is as much the amount – EUR 1,6 billion where Serbia is grateful to that country for it.

Ambassador of Germany in Serbia, Aksel Ditman said that during the previous three years in Serbia, German companies employed 5.000 people and that at the moment they hire more than 30.000.


Vucic announced that during this year in Serbia, new German companies will open, the first one of them is the plant for fish processing in Smederevo.
