Geox opens a plant in Vranje - Italians pour EUR 15,8 m and the Government of Serbia provides incentives for employment
On Sunday, January 31, 2016, Geox officially opened its departments in Vranje in the presence of the prime minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic. Head of Geox, Mario Moreti Polegato, prime minister Vucic and the mayor of Vranje, Zoran Antic, opened it officially.
According to the announcements, Geox is planning to hire 1.200 employees in Vranje and to produce 1.250.000 pairs of women’s footwear of high quality, The Italian company poured EUR 15.8 m in the plant construction while the Government of Serbia provides incentives of EUR 11, 25 for construction and opening, i.e. EUR 9000 for a new vacancy. This is the first Italian plant in industrial zone in Vranje.
