Turkey's TAV Airports Holding is in talks to invest in Belgrade-based Nikola Tesla Airport (AERO).

According to the sources close to the Turkish company, this airport operator considers investing in projects in Manilla (the Philippines) and Belgrade, of which not many details have been disclosed. In a document signed with the IMF, the Serbian government stated that it had hired advisors to find a long-term operator for the airport. The Ministry of Justice has not yet given any comment on this news.

TAV, whose main shareholder is Aeroports de Paris with a stake of 38%, plans to submit offers for two aforementioned airports as early as next month, say the sources close to the company. TAV may offer operational management of the airport, but the possibility of them acquiring the airport assets is not ruled out either, Bloomberg reports. TAV manages the Istanbul airport Atataurk and another 13 airports worldwide, including those in Macedonia and Croatia.
