Exchange of goods between Germany and Serbia larger by about 33%

- In the first half of the year, total exchange of goods between Serbia and Germany amounted to about 953.9m EUR, which is about 33% more than in the same period last year - German office of Chamber of Commerce of Serbia announced.

In that period, Germany imported goods worth 284.3m EUR from Serbia, 33.23% more than in 2006, while Serbia imported goods worth 669.6m EUR, that is, 33.85% more than last year, so that our country registered deficit in amount of 385.3m EUR.

In the same period, German exchange of goods with the countries of central and east Europe reached record level with more than 133.9 billion EUR. Of total German trade exchange, 15% is realized in central and east Europe.


Exchange of goods between Germany and USA amounts to 59.3 billion EUR, while the trade with China is valued at 39.2 billion EUR.

German trade with the countries of central and east Europe grew in the last six months by 17.2%.
