MK Grupa acquires PIK Becej for EUR 45.5 million

These two bidders were the only participants in the auction that the Vojvodina Broadcasting Corporation (RTV) broadcasted live today. They both secured EUR 17.1 million bank guarantee within the prescribed time.

As MK Grupa General Manager Jovan Purar told RTV, it is still too early to tell how many workers will be kept, that is, dismissed, but he stressed that the company had good development prospects.

Let us remind that the buyer of PIK Becej has no obligation to keep about 1,400 workers of that agribusiness.

By the way, the value of this agribusiness was estimated at EUR 85.5 million, while the starting price at today's auction was EUR 42.7 million.
