Chinese company invests EUR 50-60 million in slaughterhouse in Kragujevac - Construction most likely to start in 2017
There is no upper limit to the amount of investment the partner from China can make, Nikolic said and added that the assumption at the moment was that CMEC would invest between 50 and 60 million euro in the slaughterhouse project.
The plan is to build a big slaughterhouse, meat processing system, cold storage plant, and to complete the production process. All farmers within the radius of 70 kilometers from Kragujevac will be given opportunity to work with this company, Nikolic pointed out.
The mayor of Kragujevac also said he was constantly in touch with the Chinese investor.
- Their experts are coming here to collect information and see for themselves if what we are showing to them through our documentation is true. We are now working on a study to serve as a basis for the construction of slaughterhouse, probably in 2017, whereas a joint venture is planned to be formed by the year's end - he concluded.
