Kazakhstan, through "Rompetrol", on tender for NIS
Romanian "Rompetrol", of which owner is Kazakhstan's national oil company "Kazmunaigaz" since August, will participate in the tender for privatization of Petroleum Industry of Serbia.
Head of the press department of "Rompetrol", Roksana Ložneanu, said that that company was interested in purchasing NIS. Until recently, majority package of stocks of "Rompetrol" was owned by Romanian millionaire Dino Patriči, while Dutch and American businessmen had co-owner packages.
Company "Kazmunaigaz" was founded in 2002 through merger of company "Kazakoil" and national company for transportation of oil and gas, and the owner of 100% of capital of that petroleum industry is Kazakhstan's holding for management of state-owned property - "Samruk JSC".
NIS and "Rompetrol" have refineries that have access to the Danube, so that the exchange of products and raw materials is possible. "Rompetrol" group is the company with the headquarters in Netherlands, which started most of its business activities in the region of the Black Sea, and it became the owner of independent company "Dyneff" in 2005.
