Free Zone Zrenjanin among world's top eight start-up support locations

According to fDi Intelligence (fDi Magazine published by The Financial Times), Free Zone Zrenjanin ranks among the world's top eight start-up support locations in 2015.
Free Zone Zrenjanin Director Branislav Malagurski said it was one more in a series of awards they won, reminding that the free zone in Zrenjanin had obtained three prestigious awards over the past three years.
Free Zone Zrenjanin was commended for incentives by fDi Last year, while this year it won the Brand Leader Award for the best positioned industrial and logistics center in the market of Southeast Europe.
Malagurski stressed that the free zone in Zrenjanin stretched over 90 hectares, in three locations in the city, the biggest of which was Jugoistok Ecka. As he pointed out, there is still free space in the zone, and the focus is mainly on new investments.
Zrenjanin Mayor Cedomir Janjic assessed that the latest award was the crown of their previous work, adding that it was very positive that an unbiased party recognized Zrenjanin as an excellent business environment providing support to investors wishing to start their business in Zrenjanin.
He reminded that over the previous few months, 13 new sales contracts had been signed for land lots in industrial zones with the investors already operating in that city as well as the new ones.
